Zygomatic implants. Ref.: 71

The placement of zygomatic implants is an alternative to be able to rehabilitate a mouth in which the available bone for the placement of conventional implants is insufficient without resorting to bone grafts.

The treatment consists of the placement of 1 or 2 implants of a greater length than the conventional ones, which are anchored in the zygomatic bone or cheekbone.

These implants can be complemented with the placement of conventional implants if enough bone is available.

Once the implants have been placed, they can be restored with a fixed prosthesis, in the same way as if they were conventional implants.
