TMJ Disorder and Bruxism. Ref.: 21

3D video about temporomandibular dysfunction, a problem in the joint that connects the jaw to the skull. This dysfunction may end up causing jaw pain, headaches, neck pain, limited mouth opening and clicking when moving the jaw. Problems in the temporomandibular joint may be caused by congenital abnormalities of the condyles, due to a bad form of biting or underlying problems such as bruxism. Bruxism is the habit of grinding or clenching teeth, usually during sleep. One of the possible solutions to bruxism is making a mouth guard, which is placed in the maxilla and will protect teeth and temporomandibular joint.
