Description

This video shows a first visit of a patient to the dentist is performed.
First of all, a medical questionnaire must be filled by the patient to rule out possible diseases or allergies.
Then the patient is accompanied to the cabinet, where the doctor will perform a thorough oral examination.
The extraoral examination includes visual analysis of possible anomalies or deformities, palpation of lymph nodes of the head and neck and exploration of the temporomandibular joint.
In the intraoral examination the soft parts (lips, mucosa, gums and tongue) and the hard parts (teeth and bone) are explored. For this purpose it may be necessary to use oral lesion detection lamps, photographs, X-rays and CBCTs.
Once the data is analyzed, the patient will be provided with an estimate budget.
