Dental implants placement with bone splitting. There are cases where, due to bone resorption related to a prolonged absence of teeth, it is not possible to place implants without doing a prior treatment to increase the volume of bone. One of the available procedures is to perform a partial horizontal division of the bone, enabling the placement of implants in the space created. Subsequently the empty spaces are filled with biomaterials and a membrane that covers the area is placed. After 4-6 months, implants will be integrated and a new bone volume will be created.
